Jeremiah 7:7-9

⁷ then I’ll let you dwell in this land, the land that I gave to your ancestors forever and ever.

⁸ “Look, you’re trusting in deceptive words that cannot benefit.^{[a] 9} Will you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear by false gods, burn incense to Baal, follow other gods that you don’t know,
